The Justisse Fertility Awareness Based Method:
|
In 1987 the Justisse Method of Fertility Awareness was established by Geraldine Matus PhD. It is a mucus and sympto-thermal method of fertility awareness, relying on daily observations of one or more naturally occurring biomarkers specific to the female reproductive cycle. The rhythmic cyclicity of a woman's cervical mucus, basal body temperature, and cervix position throughout her menstrual cycle provide three scientifically proven physiological markers that can be observed, monitored and charted in order to determine her fertile and infertile days.
As a ND-HRHP I teach women how to successfully use the Justisse Method of fertility awareness to obtain the lifelong skill of charting their menstrual cycles. I offer practical knowledge for implementing holistic sexual and reproductive health, so women feel informed, empowered, and body literate. I relish in sharing the wonders of the menstrual cycle, and in teaching why it truly is a woman's fifth vital sign. I encourage and challenge women to form a more authentic relationship with themselves so that they can achieve their unique reproductive and whole-body health goals.
Soon after beginning her women's health focused practice as a ND, Katelin's appreciation for the clinical information a women's menstrual cycle holds, grew. She enrolled in the Justisse HRHP certificate program knowing that for her, this would forever change her clinical approach to women's health. When you see Katelin you will benefit from not only her education as a HRHP but also as a highly trained holistic health and women's wellness consultant. Katelin feels more equipped than ever to serve women interested in a more holistic approach to their sexual and reproductive health needs.
