Email communication for all existing clients is complimentary. Katelin will not offer new advice or recommendations through email but will gladly clarify existing suggestions made during a regular visit. If needed, a phone consultation can be booked to address new concerns.

Phone consultations can be arranged for existing clients following the appropriate fee schedule as indicated above ($40/15 minute increments).

All new clients must begin with a New Client Wellness visit. During the initial visit a thorough health history will be taken and various recommendations will be made including lab assessments and treatment strategies. Follow-up visits are made 2-6 weeks after your initial visit depending on labs ordered and the acute nature of the presenting concerns. Follow-up visits are essential to establishing a strategy that is effectively addressing presenting concerns and managing symptom progression. The goal is to transition you from frequent follow-up visits onto a maintenance schedule (think seasonal visits every 3-4 months) where you are checking-in and maintaining your health and wellness goals with Katelin as life happens and things shift. Acute visits are ideal for sudden health concerns such as a cold/flu.

Laboratory, supplement and administrative fees are additional costs and not listed above.

Payment Policy:
Katelin maintains a cash based business, accepting cash, check, and credit. Clinic visits and supplements may be covered with your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA). Some labs that are recommended may be billable through insurance and will be discussed in visit. Due to the lack of licensure for naturopathic medicine in Indiana insurance cannot be accepted at this time. Receipts for supplements can be provided for clients to submit to their insurance providers for possible reimbursement. It is best to contact your insurance provider for more information.  A payment plan is available for HRHP services only - details will be shared with contract.

Cancellation Policy:
A 24-hour cancellation policy is enforced. Without sufficient notice a $75 fee will be enforced. A no-show policy is enforced at the discretion of Katelin. A no-show visit will result in a charge for the full price of the visit. Katelin promises to respect your time and asks for the same in return.

New Client Forms:
Every new client must complete the New Client Intake Form & complete all Consent Forms at least 2 business days before their visit. This ensures adequate time for Katelin to review them before your visit, making the time during your visit more efficient.

Labs:
Lab results will be available on your patient portal after we have had a chance to review them in a visit. Reviewing your lab findings with Katelin is critical to ensure that results are interpreted, understood and managed in an appropriate way. Some labs may be billed through insurance in collaboration with Dr. Eric, MD/IFM. Otherwise we are able to accept HSA.

Collaborating with other Healthcare Professionals:

Although Katelin is a trained and licensed primary care provider, due to licensure rules in the state of Indiana she cannot operate as such, and so it is imperative that you continue to seek medical care from your primary care physician (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) for diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Katelin believes in multidisciplinary healthcare and feels collaborating with other healthcare professionals is essential for offering complete care to those she works with. As such, she may refer you to another healthcare provider if she feels that something is outside of her scope, and she fully expects to work with healthcare providers as part of your health and wellness team.

Please note: The State of Indiana does not yet offer licensure to naturopathic doctors. As a result, Katelin Parkinson holds an active license from the State of Vermont and is neither a licensed ND or licensed healthcare provider within the State of Indiana itself. Although trained to provide primary care, Katelin offers wellness consultations and educational information in the State of Indiana and cannot diagnose or treat. It is highly recommended that you continue to receive care from a licensed primary care provider as it relates to medical advice and disease diagnosis and treatment. Currently, 20 states, the District of Columbia, and the United States territories of Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands have licensing or registration laws for Naturopathic Doctors. For more licensing information and to help get naturopathic doctors licensed in Indiana, please visit inanp.org.
